English as an Additional Language

hello-in-100-languages-1024x571.jpg

We celebrate and welcome diversity and inclusion! We understand that English is not the first language for some of our students, and we embrace the richness of cultural backgrounds and linguistic diversity within our school community.

We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students, including those who are English language learners. We recognise the unique challenges faced by students acquiring English as an additional language and strive to ensure their academic success and social integration.

Where required we will work with teachers, support staff, local authority and learning partners to deliver a variety of targeted instructional strategies and differentiated support individual to the students and families, we aim to empower our EAL students to become confident communicators, critical thinkers, and active participants in the classroom.

Our curriculum integrates language learning with subject content, ensuring that EAL students can fully engage in all academic areas. We believe that language should never be a barrier to educational success. We are committed to equipping our EAL students with the necessary tools to thrive academically, socially, and personally.
