Rights Respecting Schools

We believe that every child has the right to be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. As a Rights Respecting School, we prioritize the well-being and empowerment of our students by fostering a culture that promotes and protects their rights.

What does it mean to be a Rights Respecting School? It means that we actively teach children about their rights as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Through engaging and age-appropriate activities, we help students understand their rights, responsibilities, and the importance of respecting the rights of others.

Our curriculum is designed to promote social justice, equality, and inclusivity. We provide a safe and supportive environment where diversity is celebrated and every voice is heard. By embedding the principles of the UNCRC into our teaching practices, we equip our students with the knowledge and skills to become global citizens who value and advocate for human rights.

In addition to integrating children's rights into our daily routines, we encourage active participation and student leadership. Our students are empowered to express their opinions, contribute to decision-making processes, and take part in projects that promote social change and community engagement.

As a Rights Respecting School, we strive to create a nurturing environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and included. Our commitment to upholding children's rights extends beyond the school gates, as we actively engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to raise awareness and promote positive change.
